Kentucky Derby 144

May 2018 - I went to my tenth Kentucky Derby - Kentucky Derby 144! The weather was Biblical - almost as much rain as the original Noah witnessed. Leaving Venice, my brother, mother and I headed to Zermatt, Switzerland for snowboarding in the Swiss Alps. We also spent New Year's Eve (12/31/2017) there before we headed by Eurail to Amsterdam and then flew home to finish up our 2017-2018 European vacation.

December 2017 - I visited Venice, Italy for four days with my brother and our mother. It was a great trip. The weather improved a great deal from the first day and there was plenty of amazing food, music, architecture and history.

One Night in Rome

We started our 2017 European vacation flying from Atlanta, Georgia to Rome, Italy. We only stayed one night in Rome, just to rest after our 9+ hour trans-Atlantic flight; but we got to see a little of Rome as well. Our trip to Rome last year ended poorly with Troy and I both having the flu so it was great for both of us to come back to this historic city in good health.
